Permit Fees

There are three levels of annual fees for both the issuance and renewal of permits. Each level covers a specific size of regulated laboratory or waste storage space:

• Tier I permits have 0 to 10,000 square feet of biological laboratory or manufacturing space, plus waste storage space. The annual fee for this tier is $250.
• Tier II permits have 10,001 to 40,000 square feet of biological laboratory or manufacturing space, plus waste storage space. The annual fee for this tier is $500.
• Tier III permits have more than 40,000 square feet of biological laboratory or manufacturing space, plus waste storage space. The annual fee for this tier is $1,000.
