Hoop Dreams with Chris Herren

The Cambridge Public Health Department and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School are hosting an evening with Chris Herren. 
Mr. Herren (a former NBA rising star) will share his struggles with addiction and encourage students to stand up against substance abuse.

He is the founder of The Herren Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing treatment navigation, educational and mentoring programs to those touched by addiction and to educate people of all ages on the dangers of substance abuse.

Families and students are encouraged to attend together.  CRLS will be giving extra credit toward Health Education class to rising 9th graders. 

Medication Take-Back

Attendees are invited to bring unwanted prescriptions, vitamins, and over-the-counter medications, which will be accepted by public safety staff at the start of the event. Personnel will be available to answer questions about safe medication storage and disposal practices.
